Dutch attraction Tulip Experience Amsterdam wins prestigious award World’s ‘Best Hidden Gem’
19 October 2023Last night, Tiqets announced the winners of its seventh Remarkable Venue Awards, with the Dutch ‘Tulip Experience Amsterdam’ declared the world’s best in the ‘Hidden Gem’ category.
The Remarkable Venue Awards celebrate the most beautiful and extraordinary museums, attractions, and activities across France, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, the UAE, the UK, and the US. With 229 nominees competing in seven categories — Most Remarkable Venue, Best Museum, Best Landmark, Best Family Experience, Best Activity, Most Innovative Venue, and Best Hidden Gem — Tulip Experience Amsterdam emerged as the first Dutch global winner.
Passionate Family Business Tulip Experience Amsterdam is an essential part of a visit to the Bollenstreek. The Pennings family has cultivated tulip bulbs with passion for 70 years, sharing their knowledge with visitors. Combining a museum, show garden, and indoor picking area, they aim to immerse visitors in the magic of tulips. The museum educates about tulip history and cultivation, the show garden offers a vibrant tulip display (with one million tulips in 700 varieties!), and visitors can pick their own tulip bouquet in the indoor picking area.
Tulip Experience Amsterdam also features multiple art exhibitions, a cinema, a coffee corner with Dutch treats (overlooking the show garden), a local product market, and more.
